I took myself off today, to sketch a
building I have wanted to sketch for a very long time. It is a beautiful
building, built in 1890 as a residence for the Shire
Clerk of
the Kianawah Divisional board, later to become the Wynnum
Shire Council,
the Wynnum Town Council, before being amalgamated into the
Brisbane
City Council in 1926. The Wynnum Town Hall was originally
located on
the adjacent site. The cottage was completely restored in
1984.
